YOUR PRAYERS
I am very sorry to announce the death of Francis Barrett shortly after he had gone to a home in Maidstone. It would seem to be a merciful release for him. Remember him in your prayers. Francis was a pillar of the parish for so many years here although he would have denied any such position. He would help the parish whenever possible in all sorts of hidden ways. He helped with the finances, Stella Maris School, Christmas Fayre. Above all he was always at Mass during the week when he could make it. He was awarded the Papal medal Bene Merenti for his services to the Church. A wonderful Catholic fully committed to his faith, to his wife Dorothy, who died some years ago, and to his family. His many labours over may he truly rest in peace. Please continue to pray for the sick of the parish: for Anna Painter, Kathleen Leakey, Ivy Willoughby, Leah Ashton, Maria Calnan, Patricia Barry, Fr William Hogg, and Mantej Bhoday, Carmel Lodge, Brenda Plumpton, and Mary Lambourne. Sandra Ward has returned home but very much needs our prayers. Please also pray for Francesca Vecchione, a young mother, who is seriously ill and for her family.
