NOTICES:
PLEASE PRAY FOR: Alan Lloyd, Alfredo Pajanustan, Andy Mark, Anne Harrison, Barrie Pape, Bob Barton, Brian Wright, Brian Tudball, Charlie Jessup-Hastings, Christopher Browne, Ciaran Casey, Colette Bannerman, Conor Dunne, Cynthia Misquita, David Gentry, Eliza Jordan, Ernestina Valladares, Florence Clutton, Hannah Lamb, Italia Grech, Janet & Paul Rynehart, John Grace, John Lodge, John McGarry, Juliet, Katie O’Rorke, June Rolph, Kitty Hart, Len Griffiths, Lucia D’Agostini, Manny Bhoday, Margaret Ellison, Margaret Smith, Mark Picket, Marlene Gallop, Mary Robinson, Michael Galvin, Moira Dawson, Moira Goss, Nikki Gallazzi, Patricia Barry, Paul Barton, Pauline Kearney, Rachel, Ray Partridge and Rosalind Chittenden.
CONFIRMATION: This week the class all go to the CONFIRMATION PRACTICE at St Paul’s Church in Dover at 6.00pm – and WE MEET THE BISHOP! It will be wonderful if everyone is there – perhaps a bit of lift-sharing would be appropriate? The Confirmation itself is on Friday, July 1st, at St Paul’s at 7.00pm (i.e. in just under 2 weeks’ time!) You DON’T have to be a parent friend or relative to go!
THE 100 CLUB: THE JUNE £50.00 BONUS DRAW takes place today - if you’re reading this before the end of the 11.00 Mass, there’s still time to join or renew! Application/renewal forms for 2016/17 are at the back of church - it costs £12.00 per number per year.
ARUNDEL PILGRIMAGE to Arundel Cathedral and the Shrine of St Philip Howard on Saturday, July 9th. The minibus leaves at 8.00am & returns at 6.00pm. Cost £20. Please sign up at the back of the church on the sheet with details of the day and space for names & phone numbers. See Fr Jamie for more details!
CHANGES OF MASS TIMES: Please note that following the amalgamation of Folkestone and Cheriton parishes, we need to put in place a schedule that’s within the capacity of one priest, and so from Saturday, July 9th, the schedule of Sunday Masses in the parish will be:

6.30pm at Our Lady Help of Christians
9.00am at Our Lady Help of Christians
10.00am at St Joseph’s
11.00am at Our Lady Help of Christians

Because the Saturday evening mass at Guildhall Street will then be the ONLY Saturday evening mass in the parish, we must make sure that a warm welcome awaits any St Joseph’s people who come to mass here instead of there.

WEEKDAY MASSES. The 10.00am Masses will remain UNCHANGED at Guildhall St on Mondays to Fridays: HOWEVER, the 7.00pm Tuesday evening mass will be discontinued. I hope to transfer Saturday morning’s Mass, Exposition and Confessions from Guildhall Street to St Joseph’s, and to re-introduce Mass on Mondays at 9.00am at the Virgo Fidelis sisters’ house (15-17 Marten Road), and on Wednesdays at 9.00am in St Joseph’s Church. At the moment these last three are still under discussion. I will keep you informed. Fr Stephen.
REFUGEE WEEK JUNE 19th -26th: Our parish Justice & Peace Group have asked us all to pray for refugees during this week. You may like to use the prayer card and read the leaflet being given out after all masses this weekend. The welfare of refugees will be the intention of two of our masses this Sunday, and on Thursday.
THE UNION OF CATHOLIC MOTHERS Annual Report is available at the back of Church! Do take a copy – they are printed on blue A4 paper. Many thanks to the President, Mrs Celia Grace, and all members, for all they do in work and prayer! New (female!) members are very welcome to join this IMPORTANT organisation!
